Carvoeiro Club de Ténis is in fact a multi-sport complex offering many activities for both young and old. The center is located in Sesmarias, a small village 4 km from Lagoa and 3 km from Carvoeiro village overlooking the sea and surrounded by pleasant countryside.

Vale de Milho
This is a short nine-hole course, which is visually very attractive, yet surprising because of its challenging nature. Ideal for practicing with short irons..

The course is designed by David Thomas who also designed the world famous Belfry in Birmingham. All 9 holes are par 3.

Vale da Pinta
Situated near Carvoeiro in an old olive grove, Vale da Pinta is a championship course that is, nonetheless, adaptable to any kind of game.

Designed by the North American Ronald Fream, currently one of the most respected architects and whose style involves the preservation of nature in his projects, Vale da Pinta is the twin of Quinta do Gramacho, but with a full eighteen-hole course.

Big Game Fishing
Departing from Portimão this day takes you in search of Marlin, Swordfish, Bill fish, Tuna, Bonitos, Blue fish, Large Bass, Giant Conger Sea Bream, and a variety of Shark.

Usually a light lunch consisting of Chicken Piri Piri, chips, bread and a fruit is included in the fare. Cold drinks can be bought. The best period of the year for fishing is June-Septemberwhen the water is warmest.

Activities for the children

Slide and Splash
Slide and Splash is suitable for all members of the family as it provides a wide variety activities. There are water slides for all dispositions from the very tame to the more racey 'Kamikaze' and 'Black Hole'. There are plenty of rides suitable for children.

Slide and Splash is sign posted on the EN125, and it is situated 5 minutes drive from Lagoa.

ZooMarine
Zoo Marine is a mixture between a marine centre and theme park and is another attraction for children. The Dolphins are a big attraction and at the time of writing there are three shows a day set in the large Dolphin arena. The park has a breeding program and you can learn a lot about dolphin behavior in the wild and their interaction with human beings.

Sea Lions and Seals are also big attractions, likewise giving three shows a day in their respective compounds. You can also walk underground to see how they behave below the surface of the water.

There is a large aquarium at the park, which has a surprisingly large variety of sea creatures including Sand Tiger sharks, Stingrays, Turtles and other creatures in the area designed for visitor interaction. There are also parrot shows, several theme rides, and a large swimming pool area. There is also a large children's play area.

ZooMarine is located on the N125 near Albufeira, and takes approx 40 mins to drive there from Carvoeiro.
